Team Leader – Permanent Full Time
Applications are invited for the positions of Team Leader in Value Centre Mullingar on a permanent full-time basis. The successful candidate will provide support to the Cash & Carry Management Team to ensure the Value Centre operates in a professional, compliant, and profitable manner.
Key responsibilities of a Team Leader include:
Providing support in the absence of the Cash & Carry Manager/Assistant Manager, and to carry out any duties as required (including key holding responsibilities).
Communicate effectively with customers & staff ensuring queries are resolved efficiently & effectively.
The supervision, mentoring and training of new & existing staff.
Assisting and growing customer sales.
Attention to detail in all aspects – ensuring accurate, professional and speedy processing of customers’ orders.
Ensuring compliance with the Wholesale Standards Programme
Working in conjunction with Management in relation to effective replenishment and stock control in line with company procedures, whilst also ensuring stock availability to meet customer needs
Working in conjunction with Cash & Carry Management to ensure the branch is prepared for Quarter End activities
Ensuring security of Cash & Carry is maintained, protecting employees and stock
Ensuring the effective supervision of employees in the Value Centre, as directed
Contribute to the operation of the branch in a customer focused/friendly manner
Minimising expenditure and, where appropriate, assist with the management of overheads
To undertake any other activities as required in line with operational demands.
Job requirements
The successful Team Leader will:
Be a highly motivated self-starter
Have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with customers and suppliers in a professional manner
Have experience in a customer-facing role
Have experience of the licensed and/or grocery, catering trade
Have the ability to contribute to the management of day-to-day floor operation of the Cash & Carry, including staff, stock control, deliveries & merchandising
Be flexible with start / finish times and ensure operational demands are facilitated.
Have some understanding of HACCP
Experience in the Chill/Frozen sector is an advantage.
