Retail Development Manager 

Reporting to the Retail Development Director, the role of Retail Development Manager is a key part of the support

services offered to BWG Group customers and is vital in nurturing relationships between BWG and its customers.

The ability and performance of this individual will impact significantly on our customers’ views of the organisation.

 The successful candidate will be required to work with, and influence the activities of, the various functional teams

within BWG Foods in order to achieve their objectives. He/she will also be of a determined disposition, possess

significant energy, drive, commitment and focus on achievement of objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Significant project management experience, preferably within the retail sector

  • Experience in a design-related field, ideally within the retail sector

  • Store management experience, preferably both multiple and symbol

  • Knowledge of supermarket operations and a strong understanding of the financial parameters within which stores operate

  • Numeracy and I.T. literate, with CAD experience an additional benefit

  • Educated to good Leaving Certificate standard, at minimum (ideally third level business related or design related qualification)

  • Strong presentation skills, with an ability to prepare and deliver professional written and visual (e.g. PowerPoint) presentations

  • Ability to project a high-level business credibility to internal personnel, Group contractors and Group customers

  • Ambitious, with demonstrable career progression to date

  • Ability to make strong, positive impressions, and have achieved significant goals in a personal or work environment

  • Ability to think and contribute strategically, as well as deliver operationally
