Applications are invited for the position of Manager 4 Aces Cash and Carry Portlaoise.

 

Key Responsibility

Reporting to the Regional Manager the purpose of this role is to manage the Cash & Carry operation and achieve budget while ensuring the branch operates in a professional, compliant and profitable manner.  This will be achieved through the effective management of operational policies & procedures, and the promotion of excellent customer-service standards and positive employee relations, in line with the BWG Compass.

 

The Role

·        Deliver on Customer Service Levels Targets as set out.

·        To manage and exceed branch margin and profitability. 

·        Optimise sales within the branch           

·        Ensure the effective execution of stock management objectives/policies

·        Ensure marketing of the branch is in line with company policy to optimise sales

·        Manage Overheads within the Branch

·        Effectively manage debtors

·        Ensure cash management policies and procedures are maintained in line with Company Policy

·        Actively comply and promote company policies in relation to Health and Safety, Security, Medicinal products, and Food Safety

Job requirements

The successful candidate will:

·        Have proven experience within Grocery Wholesale and the Licensed Trade

·        Demonstrate a strong strategic and operational focus, with excellent management and leadership capability

·        Effectively manage and grow existing accounts while identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities

·        Work collaboratively with the sales team to achieve company objectives and performance targets

·        Be a results‑driven professional with strong planning, organisational, and execution skills

·        Operate with high integrity, building and maintaining effective, long‑term business relationships

·        Be a confident and credible leader, committed to achieving operational and commercial excellence

·        Be a highly motivated self‑starter, capable of taking initiative and working with minimal supervision

·        Possess excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels

·        Be an analytical and commercial thinker, able to assess situations, identify key issues, and implement timely solutions

·        Have strong financial acumen, with full accountability for branch margins, profitability, and performance expectations
