Assistant Stock Controller (Full Time, Permanent)
Applications are invited for the role of Assistant Stock Controller on a permanent full-time basis. Based in Value Centre Cork, the general purpose of this role is to support the smooth operation of the Buying function within Value Centre, using the established systems and resources.
Some of the major tasks involved in this role are as follows:
Deliver optimum product availability through driving continuous improvements in supplier service level.
Planning and ordering all stocks with suppliers.
Manage dated stock and slow selling lines efficiently.
Ensure the smooth running of promotions by ensuring all stock is pre ordered and available for all promotional activity.
Monitor and manage promotional bonuses on offer lines.
Control of FIFO and stock turnover and stock days.
Other administration duties as requested.
Job requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following key attributes:
Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage; experience of dealing with food categories is desirable.
Self-motivated with the ability to work to tight deadlines and operate within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate on a variety of levels.
Possess excellent IT Skills with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel).
Ability to deal with a multi-system environment.
Strong numerical skills and attention to detail in assigned tasks.
The ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
